About this Privacy Policy

We, Ninja Logistics (Thailand) Limited (“Ninja Van”) is always committed to conducting its business under good corporate governances and contributing to social responsibilities. Ninja Van recognizes the importance of protection, infringement, access control and leakage prevention of personal data.

This policy is prepared with the purpose to maintain data subject’s trust and confidence by ensuring that their personal data is appropriately processed, and governed by protective measures adopted, by Ninja Van that meet international standards.

Collection of Personal Data

Ninja Van may collect personal data directly and indirectly from data subject, his representative or other related persons, through person or company who uses Ninja Van’s delivery service, Business partner and/or agent of Ninja Van, Ninja Van’s service providers, Ninja Van’s services through various channel, as well as other reliable sources.

Types of Personal Data Collected by Ninja Van

Depending on purposes of use, type of services, and requirement of the officers in processing personal data, Ninja Van may collect various types of a data subject or his representative’s personal data including:

For or related to the business

  • Personal information such as name, gender, date of birth, and details on ID card, passport or driving license;
  • Contact information such as address, telephone number, email address and social media data;
  • Payment information such as bank account and credit card information;
  • Electronics information such as IP address, types of browser, unique device identifiers, activities records, website usage history, Cookies, and location; and
  • Other information relating to Ninja Van’s services such as voice recorders via telephone including comments or complaint, or other activities which a data subject communicates with Ninja Van via telephone.

For Job Application

  • Personal information such as name, gender, date of birth, and details on ID card, passport or driving license
  • Contact information such as address, telephone number, email address and social media data;
  • Employment-related information such as source of recruitment, applied position, proposed salary, educational background
  • Family information such as name and contact information of family members; and
  • Criminal records and bankruptcy name list information (For certain position).

Retention Period

Ninja Van will retain personal data of a data subject as long as it is necessary for the purpose of data processing. After that, Ninja Van will erase and destruct such personal data except as may be required, by applicable laws, or for protection of Ninja Van’s interest.  In general, personal data will be kept for a maximum period of 10 years or otherwise longer if it is specifically provided by law.


Ninja Van will use and disclose personal data for the following purposes:

For or related to the business

  • Managing the administrative and business operations of Ninja Van and complying with internal policies and procedures;
  • Performance of delivery service including tracking and analytics of delivery, facilitating any correspondence between the shipper and the end recipient, updating the status of delivery and contacting for feedback after or during delivery;
  • Facilitating a data subject’s use of Ninja Van’s services and/or access to the platform
  • Processing orders a data subject submits through the platform. Payments that a data subject makes through the platform for products, whether sold by Ninja Van or a third-party seller, will be processed by Ninja Van’s agent. Ninja Van may pass personal data of a data subject on to a third party in order to deliver the product to the end recipient (for example to Ninja Van’s courier or supplier);
  • Responding to and handling queries and requests of a data subject including to resolve complaints, problems or disputes;
  • Conducting investigations relating to disputes, billing or fraud;
  • Monitoring or recording phone calls and customer-facing interactions for quality assurance, and development of Ninja Van’s business;
  • Providing media announcements and responses;
  • Conducting research and analytics to enable Ninja Van to better understand the location, preferences, demographic, and to improve Ninja Van’s service delivery and the customer experience at Ninja Van’s respective touchpoints;
  • Processing any insurance claims and payments that may arise under Ninja Van’s policies;
  • Legal purposes (including but not limited to obtaining legal advice and dispute resolution);
  • Accounting, risk management, compliance and record keeping purposes;
  • Meeting or complying with any applicable rules, laws, regulations, codes of practice or guidelines issued by any legal or regulatory bodies which are binding on Ninja Van;
  • Comparing information, and verifying with third parties in order to ensure that the information is accurate;
  • Administering a data subject’s account (if any), including verifying and carrying out financial transactions in relation to payments he makes online, auditing the downloading of data from the platform, improving the layout and/or content of the pages of the platform and customizing them for users; 
  • Sending a data subject marketing and/or promotional materials about Ninja Van’s or third-party sellers’ products and services from time to time. Ninja Van may also use his contact information to send newsletters from Ninja Van and from Ninja Van’s related companies; and
  • In exceptional circumstances Ninja Van may be required to disclose personal information, such as when there are grounds to believe that the disclosure is necessary to prevent a threat to life or health, or for law enforcement purposes, or for fulfillment of legal and regulatory requirements and requests.

For job application

  • Proceeding recruitment process and allows a data subject to participate in recruitment process (e.g. making an appointment for an interview);
  • Recruiting a data subject for any position in the future; and
  • Ensuring security of Ninja Van’s premises and property.

Ninja Van will not disclose personal data of a data subject without any lawful basis. Such data may be disclosed, or transferred to governmental organizations, governmental bodies or third parties including:

  • Group company or affiliate within Ninja Van group; 
  • Business partners of Ninja Van who involve in Ninja Van’s services;
  • Person or company that a data subject makes payments to or receives payments from;
  • Third-party service providers such as courier, and cloud service provider; 
  • Advisors such as financial advisors or legal advisors;
  • Governmental and regulatory bodies;
  • Insurance company;
  • Other data controller to whom a data subject has previously disclosed or transferred data; and
  • Any people or companies where required in connection with potential or actual corporate restructuring, merger, acquisition or takeover, including any transfer or potential transfer of Ninja Van’s rights or duties under the agreement with a data subject.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are electronic data that is sent to the browser of a data subject for transmitting information back to Ninja Van’s servers whenever the data subject visits Ninja Van’s website.

Ninja Van’s servers will generate cookies when a data subject visits Ninja Van’s website. Cookies will help a data subject for the website navigation, going back and forwarding or returning to the previous page. Cookies will only be activated when a data subject uses Ninja Van’s server only.

The types of cookies Ninja Van uses and why Ninja Van uses them are including but not limited as follows:

  • Necessary Cookies: These are cookies that are required for the operation of the website, and include, for example, cookies that allow Ninja Van to store locale information (language preferences), or delivery live tracker, this cookie is for Ninja Van’s server to authenticate the request made by a data subject.
  • Analytical cookies: These cookies allow Ninja Van to count visits and traffic sources so that Ninja Van can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help Ninja Van to know a data subject’s experience. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous.
  • Advertising cookies: These cookies will remember a data subject’s preferences, and in general to tailor the relevant advertising to a data subject, e.g. by selecting interest-based advertisements for a data subject, or preventing or limiting the number of times a data subject see the same advertisement to help measure the effectiveness of advertisements.

Cross-Border Transfer

Ninja Van may disclose personal data of a data subject to the recipient outside of Thailand only where it is permitted by data protection law or other applicable laws.

Accuracy of Personal Data 

Ninja Van will take necessary precautions to ensure that collected personal data is accurate, complete and kept up to date. 

Third Party Website Limitation

A website link and/or other services may be led to an external website or third-party website which Ninja Van does not have any power to control or determine the processing of personal data. Please visit such third-party’s privacy policy to better understand their data collection practices and controls they make available to a data subject.

Data Security Measure

Ninja Van adopts the high-standard security system in both technology and procedures to prevent any possible data theft. Ninja Van implements various measures to protect its computer system (such as data loss prevention (including the automated hourly database backup), firewall, encryption (including SSL over HTTPS), data log (including ELK stack) and Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Test) though substantial investments, effort and human resources as to ensure that Ninja Van achieves high-standard measures and the personal data remains safe. 

Although Ninja Van makes its best efforts to protect personal data with Ninja Van’s technical mechanism along with the management by Ninja Van’s personnel to control access and keep personal data against unauthorized access, Ninja Van cannot always guarantee the security and confidentiality of personal data from every incident that may arise, such as virus threat and unauthorized access. A data subject should regularly keep up with technology news, install personal firewall software to prevent his computer from threat or data theft. Also, monitoring own account on a regular basis (such as monitoring balance, transaction date) and keeping personal data and financial status confidential are strongly recommended. 

Right of Data Subject

In accordance with the data protection law, a data subject has the following rights (which may be amended pursuant to any regulations of the data protection law) which are exercisable in compliance with applicable laws: 

  • To access;
  • To rectify;
  • To data portability;
  • To erasure;
  • To restrict;
  • To object the collection, use and disclosure;
  • To withdraw the consent; and
  • To lodge a complaint to the competent officer (i.e. the Office of Personal Data Protection Committee).

In case where a data subject has given a consent for the processing of personal data to Ninja Van (where the consent is not required by other applicable laws), a data subject shall have the right to withdraw the consent at any time. Should a withdrawal of any consent affects any transactions or provision of services, a data subject will be informed at the time of withdrawal request by Ninja Van.

  • Ninja Van does not charge any administrative fee relating to personal data of a data subject. However, a fee in processing certain requests (other than the request for rectification) under the data protection law may apply.
